Chapati
Hello masters of macintels iam struggling with a huge annoying problem trying to install jas 10.5.2 and cant do anything about it... I am using an Acer Extensa 6601 (its pretty rare, i got it from the mid. east) With alot of reading, i am asuming this problem is caused by the display hardware, which is 915gm. -I have tried to attach an external monitor and got a message saying "out of range". Then, to fix that, i tried to play around with the screen sizes by going to the "advanced startup settings (F8)" and still getting the same message... -For a different solution, i tried the "staple trick" with the pin6 and pin12 but that just gave me a frozen gray apple screen... so is this a good-bye-to-leo for me or is there a solution?... thankx Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/115734-blue-screen-before-installing-jas-1052/ Share on other sites
mjsr
Same problem here. Did not try the staple trick. Anyway... Removed all partitions from hard drive... and even tryed with FAT32 partition as suggested on irc channel. Chipset 945GM here with integrated gfx card...
