higginsbottom
Folks: I installed Kalyway 10.5.1 on my Dell Inspiron 1720 laptop. Everything except sound and wireless is working. When I try to update from 10.5.1 to 10.5.2 or 10.5.3 I lose my ethernet connection. Everything else works. I've tried all the different comboupdates and kernels I can find, but to no avail. Can anyone point me in the right direction to find some help? Thanks in advance. kytzu
when you installed kalyway probably a patched driver (modified kext with coresponding device id) was installed from that dvd for your card. after upgrade, probably your network card driver has been overwritten with an original apple kext so you have to findout the device id of your network card and repatch the new kext used for your card or extract the parched file from 10.5.1 dvd and overwrite it. good luck!
