Gigabyte P35-DS3L Realtek 8111/8169 LAN

I've looked around for quite a while, and i know someone is probably going to say that I didn't look hard enough but my problems seems to be reverse that of most people. As stated I got a Gigabyte P35-DS3L using a Realtek 8111/8169 on the board, Kalyway 10.5.1, updated from Apple's 10.5.2, and the problem is... I pick up the computer with my two native mac lappy's, via screen share, file share, both ways, but the computer won't go online and says there is no internet connection. I have it hardwired up to the router. So I'm a little dumb founded. Any suggestions would be helpful. Oh by the way, I don't believe my 10.5.1 install had internet either. I don't quite understand why not because plenty of people are claiming OOB internet on this motherboard.
