I have the same problem. I followed the "Installation Guides/Kalyway DualBoot 10.5.2" guide and didn't have any problems at all. When I start up and choose "Max OS X86" I also get the apple logo for a moment, and then the monitor turns off and then on again, but it's all black. Nothing happens after that.

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-P35 DS3

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6550

Graphics: Asus GeForce 8600GT 512 MB (PCIe)

RAM: Corsair TWIN2X2048-6400C4

I would really appreciate some help.

Extracting the Leopard 10.5.3 update and manually copying the Nvidia drivers from it solved the issue. Strangely installing 10.5.8 doesn't replace the nvidia drivers - if you however extract the 10.5.8 update and replace the drivers manually, you get the black screen, white mouse cursor problem! -- So downgrade the Nvidia drivers to 10.5.3 :) - Unfortunately the drivers from 10.5.3 are buggy in Photoshop CS4 (distortion when going full screen).

Anyone has a better solution? :(
