i have a 30 gb. ipod 5g(video) and I was wondering if I could install Zephy/Kaly AMD on it and use it as a bootable x86 install.

I had zeph on my pc but things went wrong and i went through hell to put windows back on it, and i dont have an external HD but i do have my beloved ipod and since i use it as storage and an ipod (also youtube vids on istalling leo setup on ipod) I figured there must be a way to install an os on it.

so my main questions are:

Is is possable to install x86 on my ipod and use as a bootable disk

If the above is possable can i use it as an ipod, AND a boot disk?

If you can boot from a USB Drive, You "Should" Be able to. but no promises, expicially with the fact that drivers are different between machines, you would have to load kexts for all the systems that you plan to run it on, but more than anything it should work if you have you iPod formatted for mac.

My ipod Is formated for windows. I figured I could Format it in disk util. nd then run from there :(

Drivers wont matter because im only going to use it on my computer and not any other.

Has anyone tried this before??

oh and If I partition my HD instead of totaly reformating it, can I keep it as an ipod and a boot disk?, like leopard on 20gb. and ipod and other stuff on the remaining?

ok So I tried to install, (Kaly/zephy) But It doesn't load, i booted with -v and when my ipod is plugged in on boot it says waiting for device blah blah blah and my ipod exited disk mode (well is said "OK to Disconnect") when I put it in what i call emergency disk mode (its the same disk mode that come up when you use rockbox)

its like it wont read my ipod.

I tried to boot from dvd them plug ipod in (as expected) it failed to read my ipod disk.
