Hi, are there any distro's that support installation from an IDE dvd drive controlled by the Marvell 88SE61111 chipset. All that I know of is that Leo4allv3 has a kext that allows use of the drives post-install but I'm not sure if its possible to install from them.

Can anyone help?

trying to install via IDE DVD drive as we speak. I have the distros Leo4allv3, Kalyway, and iATKOS on hand, trying em all.

Kalyway seems to boot and get to the installer, but it stops halfway through and gives me an error saying the dvd is damaged, but it actually does have a giant scratch on it d to one of my friends lol. Woops.

Thanks for the post, update me if you make any progress, also do you know what chipset is running your IDE DVD drive? If is a JMicron you can't help me, but you can update your Leo4allv3 disk that gives you the 10.5.3 update and support to boot from a JMicron controlled IDE DVD Drive.

Here is the link to the patch for Leo4allv3
