Joby Kent
Hey, I have a SOLUTION FOR WIRELESS! If you've been stuck with Ethernet and without Your wireless functioning then this solution is for you. Your Hackintosh does NOT even need a Wireless card to function wirelessly. Instead, the solution is to use a USB wireless stick. Mostly are VERY small devices and plug right in and work correctly. Here's what I did: - Bought a FreeCom ZyDAS USB 2.0 WLan Wireless - Installed Drivers through DVD - Plugged in USB stick after restart - Selected Network - Connected to Internet Wirelessly You can pick up the SafeCom for just $20 (That's £10) and it's more than worth it and never gets in your way. And I use my laptop on my knee almost 24/7 and I have had no issues with the USB their. Cons: - Program Wireless has to be open to function wireless. Solution: Use a program to hide the program from the dock and it's like it's not even there. I can't remember the program name. I think it was something like Dockless or Dockable. Get on Google. Get searching for USB 2.0 Wireless! Their the future for Hackintosh people's with no wireless or even internet access! kilven
One more con: Most USB wifi adapters have very weak antennas and low transmit power. PCI wifi cards are almost always more powerful. Still I am in the market for one and am considering many options.
