Help installing on Toshiba Satelite with ATI X200 Chipset

Hello, I have a Toshiba Satelite A105-S101 with 1.6GHZ Intel processor. 1.5GB of RAM. It also has 64MB video RAM with ATI X200 Chip set. With the kalyway 10.5.1 disk I get a "still waiting for root device" error so I decided to wait for the 10.5.2 disk. I burned the 10.5.2 disk and it boots into the GUI installer, and I can open disk utility to erase my drive, and once i click on install, it dosent work. It runs the scan on the disk and apparently dosent find any errors because it continues the install. It says time remaining is around 30hours, and my DVD drive stops spinning! I tried with several external drives and encountered the same issue I though that the timer might have been off so i left my notebook on overnight to see what would happen, and in the morning the time went up to about 60hours and the progress bar never changed, it simply stops about an inch in.
