Crash_ZeRo
Hey everyone... first of all, I'm quite new to all this stuff.... What I'd like to know is... how can I apply a kext file from a pen drive (FAT32) in the installation. I need to load the new AppleOnboardPCATA.kext and the IOATAFamily.kext in order to get my hard disk recognized (I have an ATI SB450 Chipset with SATA; IDE Mode not working either). So how do I do this? I would prefer not to have to rebuild the DVD again... Thanks! Regards, EDIT: Sorry, I was mistaking. I have a SB450 Chipset. Regards, If your pen is recognized by OSX, just delete the files from /System/Library/Extensions, copy the new ones from from pen to the same folder and run disk tool -> repair permissions for osx partition Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/112547-how-to-apply-a-kext-file-form-a-pen-drive-in-installation/#findComment-796505 Share on other sites
