lsdsquirrel
Hello, I have spent a few hour reading over the forums here trying to find an existing thread with a solution workable, but failed( think i have just been in the wrong places) I am attempting to install kalyway 10.5.2 on my compaq 751nr intel based laptop. I have gotten osx installed, and now am booting to a light blue screen with music. I have thus far: 1. gotten into the root for single use ( -s) 2. used /movevideodrivers command 3. attempted combinations ( in order of listed driver batches) no, yes, yes, yes. . . yes,no,yes,yes...yes,yes,no,yes...yes,yes,yes,no... and yes,no,no,no...no,yes,no,no... no,no.yes,no...no,no,no,yes. **(every combo of driver moving getting me to blue screen with sound only)** 4. after selecting driver types to move there where two confirmation questions I do not under stand, i hit "enter" to skip them every time. If someone is willing to help me thru this, or help me better understand what it is I am doing that would be fantastic. thanx in advance for any help. kytzu
first go in single mode and do "rm -R /System/Library/Extensions/NVinvect.kext" and if still not working then do a reinstall and deselect all video drivers, probably there is no compatible nvinject for your card in kalyway patch. Dude Matters
Please specify your hardware, at least your video card (make, model). In my experiance you really need to select only the video drivers for your system, do not select all video drivers during install, this results in bad or no screen resolutions. Selecting the correct driver set results in the introduction (welcome) video directly after installation. If this shows you've got it right!
