Well, i got my Network to work again... here it is what i've done:

i used my time machine to go back to my 10.5.2 Leopard Version, then i look up for "IONetworkingFamily.kext" file and i made a COPY into my Desktop, then i made the update to 10.5.3; Logged in again and replaced the new "IONetworkingFamily.kext" file version with my older one (the one in the desktop), then i deleted "Extensions.mkext" and then i made these steps in a terminal:

  1. sudo su -
  2. sudo chmod -R 755 /System/Library/Extensions/IONetworkingFamily.kext
  3. sudo chown -R root:wheel /System/Library/Extensions/IONetworkingFamily.kext
  4. sudo kextload -v /System/Library/Extensions/IONetworkingFamily.kext
  5. Exit Terminal

after these steps i opened Disk Utility and made a "Repair Disk Permissions" and then i Reboot.

now i'm writtin' from my Safary, hehe. next Step it's to make my Sound card work. if anyone can help me please do it.

i'm using the onboard ethernet with the badaxe2 motherboard and i'm having funky networking issues after updating. i have to create a new connection each time i start up and renew the DHCP settings to have access. it still reads "cable unplugged" but i'm able to go online.

odd.
