Otsirc
Hi, Browsing this fora for solutions, didn't found it, problem: I managed to install the pre-patched wesley 10.4.3. Mac Os X Installation only worked after disabling USB in the bios installation went smooth Now everything runs fine, but when i re-enable USB in the bios i get a kernel panic while booting. Somebody any ideas? ps: sorry for my bad english, i'm not a native speaker. Otsirc
ok, i did some more research and found a solution on this board i found the following sudo -s sudo cp -R /Volumes/YOUR 10.4.3 DISK/System/Library/Extensions/IOUSBFamily.kext /System/Library/Extensions chmod -R 755 /System/Library/Extensions chown -R roor:wheel /System/Library/Extensions kextcache -e -z -a i386 kextcache -k /System/Library/Extensions -z -a i386 sync if i then turned of my onboard sound card and enabled USB it worked !!! after some more trial and error, it appeared that my sound card worked again, if disabled the serial and parallel port, guess everything is working now !!! so thumbs up, for this great fora Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/11163-panic-when-enabling-usb-in-bios/#findComment-70009 Share on other sites
