Suser Posted March 6, 2006 Share Posted March 6, 2006 Hi, I downloaded the patched 10.4.4 DVD and this doesn't want to install. I can boot the DVD, see the gray screen with the apple but when it comes to the point where it needs to start the graphical installation part it stops and scroll a lot of segmentation faults on the screen and finally ends up at the command line. I then took an original Intel Mac 10.4.4 restore image and tried to create a bootable DVD with the DVD patcher. This works fine, the ISO is bootable but at the end, the same issue shows up. A lot of Segmentation faults and stops at the command line at the end. What did I do wrong or what could be the problem ? Sushant Posted June 14, 2006 Share Posted June 14, 2006 The problem is that your processor is an AMD. I could install this image onto a Compaq Presario with no fuss but when I tried it on my AMD the segfaults showed up and it died. There are some other threads on the forum that have a lot of info about this. I'll post in one of those if I get onto something.
