iwannasave
I installed Kalyway 10.5.2 and updated to 10.5.3 and every thing was fine. I wanted to copy over couple of directories from my Windows Drive, so I disconnected my DVD and connected my 2nd hdd (OSX on IDE HDD, windows on sata hdd) dvd is also on ide. Now after I copied, I connected back my dvd and now OSX does not see the DVD. What happened and how do I solve this. Please advise. Thanks -IW Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/111112-no-dvd-drive-found/ Share on other sites
ToGaR
Don't hit me but... did you remember to plug both the IDE and the power cables into the DVD drive? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/111112-no-dvd-drive-found/#findComment-787485 Share on other sites
iwannasave
Good think you got me thinking, so i powered the PC down, removed all the cables, checked the cable select settings, checked the bios to see if it can see the DVD and booted up to system. Guess what, now it works. I am not even sure what was wrong. I have been in IT for so long that, I never take any advise as bad, but rather as a check list to make sure all bases are covered. Thanks once again. -IW Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/111112-no-dvd-drive-found/#findComment-787690 Share on other sites
