Edit2: Correct me when I'm wrong but 10.4.4/5 is a dvd that can install the 10.4.5 update automagically and includes the NEW wireless driver and the OLD ethernet driver... secondly the Myzar patch will covert !!!!!___WHAT ISO___!!!! to a working 10.4.4/5 iso..... so that what I should try to find ... I'm having a rough time in finding it ..... hmmm what is it called "officially"....

Edit: Maybe it would be easier is someone can just explain the easiest way of installing 10.4.5 right now... Cause I'm hearing something about a prepatched dvd .... ( 10.4.4/5 or something like that ) and then also some thing about a Myzar patch? Whats up with that?

I've got the iso for 10.4.4 but I can get the 10.4.4/5 but what is the Myzar patch for ... will it convert the 10.4.4 to a 10.4.4/5???

Hello.

I have recently installed 10.4.4 onto my trusty laptop and I was about to do the upgrade as per Maxxuss's instructions (the alternate ones to be precise... I don't have 10.4.3 to use the primary one).

After I made the backups and mounted the filesystem (for the first time) and I go to mount the image of the update with the command "hdiutil attach MacOSXUpd10.4.5Intel.dmg" it repeats the text "load_hdi: timed out waiting for driver to load" over and over and over.

I did the command "launchctl load /System/Library/LaunchDaemons /etc/mach_init.d" and waited a VERY long time (just to be sure) for it to load... and still

nothing but "load_hdi: timed out waiting for driver to load"

Any ideas? Anything else I can load manually... I'm very (as of 1 hour ago) new to OSX86

thanks

Maybe my information will help someone else.

The Myzar patch (as of now) is only available on Demonoid's Tracker which as of now is not allowing sign ups.

The Full patched 10.4.4/5 dvd will allow someone to install 10.4.4 or 10.4.5 on a pc...

the Myzar patch is to be used on the 10.4.4 Install DVD

thats about it...

same troubles.

i failed to mount image in the single user mode. so i've simply copied the .pkg from the .dmg to the / .

DO NOT do it.. cos when u will run the installer it will damage your system.

( my installation stucked at "optimizing volume bdisk0s1b: 50% complete" i think it's because the installer was optimizing the volume it was running from )
