spideycro
So, this was my first time installing Kalyway 10.5.2 on my computer. Everything went ok but, only one thing remains. I can't see or use my DVD drive, although I can open and close the tray. Everything else works perfect, I have: Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 Intel DP35DP Supertalent 4x 1 GB Seagate Barracuda 320 GB SATA ATI Radeon 2600 XT Philips SPD6002T ATA Device (this is my DVD drive) Things that I installed during the installation: Vanilla kernel (wiki said that I need this one, because of E6750) Natit for ATI HD2xxx and HD3xxx (for my video card) and...that's it I managed to get reboot working and audio too. As for dual boot, I added the entry to the Windows Boot Manager (via bcdedit) - chain0 file So guys, please help me fix my DVD drive. Synaesthesia
Try holding down F12 in OS X! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/110500-almost-a-perfect-kalyway-1052-install/#findComment-783159 Share on other sites
spideycro
Still nothing, I pressed F12 as you said and nothing. I just see a big eject icon and then it disappears. serj
Hey, I had the same problem with my old cd burner and now with dvd burner. The fix for me was to make it Master instead of Slave and right away it worked! I think that I installed it using Master too so that might have been the reason, but I can't be sure now. So try switching it from Master to Slave or maybe the other way around... I hope it helps Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/110500-almost-a-perfect-kalyway-1052-install/#findComment-787874 Share on other sites

Now all is working like a charm. (I still have to buy a new network card) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/110500-almost-a-perfect-kalyway-1052-install/#findComment-788574 Share on other sites
