edgevision
EDIT: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=100194 solved this. After a week of attempts (I've tried 8 different install DVDs at this point); I finally got Leo4Allv3 running on my HP Pavilion dv6404ca. It's something I thought (and was told) impossible, but alas, here are my specs: AMD Turion64 X2 4400+ 1.8GHz 1 GB RAM (2x512MB) nVidia MCP51 Chipset with nVidia 6150 LE graphics Broadcom bcm4318 wireless chipset 160GB SATA HDD 24x SATA DVD/RW So basically, the complete opposite of anything Intel. Yet here I am, staring at this screen in front of me that is Mac OS X. It worked with the new nForce Test chipset controller that came with Leo4Allv3, although boot is rather slow (6-7 min). Once I'm in though, it's fast as hell. Here's my problem: I don't have any kexts loaded yet for my 6150 LE, because I can't get any to work. I know that QE/CI is impossible with this {censored} card, but from what I've heard around these forums (and on the OSx86 wiki) is that it is at least possible to change the resolution (from 1024x768 to 1280x800/native.) This is really the last thing I need, and I'm hoping you guys can help. So far I have tried: - MacVidia 1.0.7 Beta 2 - MacVidia 1.0.81 - NVinject 0.2.0 - Zephyroth's NVIDIA pack (all latest kexts) I'm told that MacVidia 1.0.7 is supposed to work somewhat with the 6150 LE, but I can't get the machine to boot with any of the above solutions, keeping in mind that I: a) removed IONDRVSupport.kext when attempting to try these kexts; set all permissions and ownership correctly each time; c) removed Extensions.mkext before each reboot so all the kexts would recache. Still no luck. Does anyone have any suggestions for me or perhaps some MacVidia releases I can try? Thanks so much in advance, these forums are doing great things for the community and I appreciate it.
