Mascot
I've got a little question, and since I'm not get advanced at this stuff, I've just been looking through the forums and haven't found much on it yet. I'm running Leopard, 10.5 build on a SSE2 1.5ghz 512mb system. It's an old HP dv1000, so it has an unsupported graphics card, but it doesn't bug me much since everything still seems to move smoothly. One problem, though, is that when I try to put my computer into sleep, it turns off the screen, but it doesn't seem to be 'sleeping' as everything is still running (processor still doing whatever and fan stays on) and when I try to wake it from sleep, it doesn't do anything. It just sits in that little phase. Is there anyway to fix this? I've been looking but haven't really found anything about it (most of the things I see revolve around 10.5.2). Also, whenever I try to launch system profiler, it crashes, and the same for iCal. Is there a way to fix this (that is way less important tho). maxharvard
This is a fairly well documented problem for a lot of people. A quick search should come up with a few fixes, although none have worked for me yet.
