StalfoS
I have a hard drive with 3 primary partitions (and some extra space on the end). At first I had 1-primary, 1-extended ans 1-primary but osx did not like that at all ("can not read partition table") Now I am trying to install OSX into the third primary partition, and OSX is able to read, format and mount the partition. It cant mount the first 2 NTFS partitions, I assume this is not a problem? So anyways, I get this error when I first try to mount the HFS+ partition: "disk has errors, run check disk". So I run the check disk tool (whatever its called) and it tells me that there were errors in the header, but that they are now fixed. It will now mount the partition no problem. But when I go ahead with the install, it stops just a little ways in saying that OSX has errors with the install. (it is vary vauge, and does not offer me any more information). I assume that it is something wrong with my disk, because of the issue I described above. Any ideas? Thanks a bunch if you can help me I guess I should mention that I am using the 10.4.3 DVD. Cheers. StalfoS
UPDATE: For some reason, OSx86 doesnt like to install on the far right end of the hard drive (think partition magic). I created a partition between where my existing partitions were, so not it goes ||| NTFS 30gb | HSF+ 30gb | NTSF 30gb | Unpartitioned space ||| And it works on my AMD64 3000 Clawhammer but no sound no networking on my K8V Pro mobo... boo. Anyone know of drivers for these? I mean, does such a thing exist?
