hi, the oddest thing happend to me... i have an intel d915gavl with a 3.4 ghz sse3 with 512 ram (1 strip 512). Here is the odd thing. i installed 10.4.3 and it was never booting, only booed in safe mode. never saw gma 900 no firewire no ac97 or anything. under system profiler it said 1 core, true, 1 prossesor pc. heres the funny part. I didnt know what to do, no ci no qe no boot. so i unpluged my pc, took out the rtc battery and my 512 of ram for 10 mins.put them both back in and, mac boots great qe and ci saw my firewire edirol card, saw ac97 but heres the even more unbelievable part. it said 3.4 ghz dual. false. number of cores, 2, which i dont have 2 cores. Then, when i boot back into windows xp it says like new hardware found, multiprossesor pc, now in windows under computer in device manager i have a multiprossesor pc. and also when i went from 10.4.3 to 10.4.4, when i enter my registration info i get a rotating cube and music from my fw card. odd from nothing to everything just from removing ram and rtc battery. has this happend to anyone else?
