LiquidBlue
I spent about 8 hours figuring out what options to select to install. But since I wasn't doing it on my own computer, I decided to try and install it on an external HDD. I've had just about every problem possible, except getting stuck on the grey Apple screen. Now that the OS is loaded, and no problem with the sound, I found out that absolutely non of my programs are working. Not even Safari. Whenever I run a program, but it doesn't seem to attempt reading the HDD, and it gets stuck loading and everything becomes unresponsive. Right now I'm too exhausted to research anything. First question: How dumb was it of me to install it on a USB drive? And does it have anything to do with the unresponsiveness? Second question: How to overcome this problem? Thanks in advance. [update] Ironically, only the Apple software is not working for me. Safari won't run, but FireFox works just fine. [update] Even my 'Help' would hang up the computer. What now? DONNYTEN
Well to partially answer a question, and just for the sake of replying: First question: How dumb was it of me to install it on a USB drive? And does it have anything to do with the unresponsiveness? not dumb at all, i test all releases on my USB HDD 1st before going to the main drive. I haven't gone to the main drive yet because so far none of the releases seem to accommodate me perfectly .
