f4d3d
I know there are a ton of topics on this and believe me I've looked at them all and tried every option. Maybe its just not possible with my specs, but if it isnt can someone tell me what the problem is? Ive tried tiger and leopard and pretty much all of the installers (iatkos, kalyway, leo4all), and I get the same error on all of them. Either I get to the grey apple boot screen and then get the kernel panic emblem OR if I use -v and go to verbose mode I get the "still waiting for root device" 5,000,000 times (this is all before I even get to the main install page). I have an XPS gen 4 dell desktop and I'm currently dual-booting XP and vista... Intel pentium 4 with 3.6 ghz processor... My chipset is an intel i925x... Nvidia Gefore 8600 GTS graphics card... The dvd drive Im using is a philips dvd rw dvd8631 (pata)... And my main harddrive is a wdc wd5000ys-18mpb0 (sata)... Sorry if I left something out or put something wrong in my specs.. Kinda new to all this. But anyway, any help would be greatly appreciated!
