VoKL88
Kalyway's 10.5.2 was running perfectly on my Dell E310, until one day it decided to only allow Ethernet to work in safe mode. It would recognize my Ethernet port, but under System Preferences, it would say that it was unplugged when it is plugged in and the status lights are blinking amber! My Ethernet would only work if I booted in Safe Mode. I thought maybe installing 10.5.3 with the new 9.3 kernel would solve the problem, and it did, but when I rebooted, it didn't. And now OSX will only boot if I type "update -v" all the time, which is very inconvenient. Do you guys have any suggestions? I've searched the forum for answers, but haven't found one that solved my problem. Splatt
I'm assuming nobody has a fix or workaround for this. I'm having the exact same problem, same computer same original OS, 10.5.2. The onboard NIC is an Intel PRO/100 VE.
