animus_domini
Hi all, I have one HD with two partitions. First I installed kalyway (10.5.2) and then I cloned it with Carbon Copy Cloner to another one. I update the clone with 10.5.3. Everything went fine. Now I have two bootable partitions. One with 10.5.2 (disk0s2) and another with 10.5.3 (disk0s1), but my default bootloader (darwin/x86) partition is the 10.5.2. How can I change the default to 10.5.3? Thanks in advance Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/108397-how-to-change-default-bootloaders-partition/ Share on other sites
macgirl
You cannot change it, Darwin take the active partition as the bootable one. Unless you modify the source code of course. What you can do is to active the other partition, check the Tutorials forum, there is a guide to change active partitions with Mac OS. animus_domini
macgirl, I follow this [How to] Setting Your Partition "Active" Using Fdisk in MacOSX: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...ctive+partition But dosen't work. With the 10.5.3 active the boot process stop before gray screen. I undo the changes and everything works again, but I needed to select manually the 10.5.3's partition like before. Any ideas about what happens? Anybody has another suggestion? macgirl
maybe your 10.5.2 partition has the PC EFI bootloader and the 10.5.3 doesn't Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/108397-how-to-change-default-bootloaders-partition/#findComment-771625 Share on other sites
