thedarkllama
Whilst trying to install OSX86, following the guide here: http://marc88.blogspot.com/2007/03/osx86-i...x200-users.html I got to the step of installing - SPTDinst-v135-x86.exe and Acronis at the same time and reboot. Upon reboot, I could no longer boot from my hard drive. I have since gotten my files off using an adapter in my desktop (so the drive works), but I've used fixmbr, fixboot, and even installed Ubuntu over the entire disk, and still it does not boot. Booting into the live CD for Ubuntu shows that both the XP and Ubuntu partitions are still there. When booting, it tries to network boot - third in the boot order, after CD and HDD. So what do you think? Google tells me the drive is dead, but I'm able to access (and edit!) the files when plugged into my desktop, so I don't tihnk this is the case. All I want to do now is get my computer to boot into SOME operating system.
