7four7
Hi, everyone! My config: Albatron K8NFX Socket 939, AMD Athlon 64 3500+ Nvidia Geforce 7600GT 256Mb PCI-E the rest doesn't matter I have installed Leo4allv2. Everything works fine, everything but the video works out of box. Even USB 2.0 (10.4.8, 10.5.1 used it as USB 1.1). The graphics card I installed with the latest NVinject and then I edited Geforce.kext, NVDANV40Hal.kext, NVDAResmon.kext as it is highlighted in how-tos on this site. And now my resolution is 1680*1050 as it should be. Everything seems to be OK. I couln'd believe my success, because I wasted lots of time searching for the proper kernels, soft, drivers. And now the problem - sometimes (pretty often) Finder, System Pref. and some other applications crash. This is how it looks: I click any item or button I want to select and the reaction is like that: about 2 seconds no reaction after clicking, then the crazy rainbow ball appears spinning for about 2 seconds and then app closes. Every time, exept Finder "times", I see the system error window telling that the app has quited unexpectedly and 3 buttons - "Ignore", "Relaunch", "Report". List of problem software: 1. Finder - when Finder crashes it just closes all Finder windows and hides all icons on desktop and in several seconds relaunches the finder and all desktop icons. Instead of all opened finder windows I have only 1 opened in its default location. Very often it occurs when I browse files with column type of view. But with other views either. 2. System preferences - occurs when I try to change some prefs, changing the screensaver in 100% causing crash. 3. iTunes - very often occurs when I click on the left side of the window, where playlist are. So I can't even upload music on my iPod =( 4. BitRocket - crashes rarely without any vivid reasons. 5. Quicktime - crashes sometimes without any vivid reasons. 6. Mozodojo - crashes on start. It seems to me that crashes occur when the application is overloaded. But other applications don't crash even if they overloaded. For ex.: Firefox running stable, Adium nearly hung, but in a minute it recovered without restarting. Maybe, the kernel contains some errors that appear when I overload some applications. Help anyone! I'm tired of this battle "Human - Computer"! It's the only thing bothering me. Thank you!
