10.4.4 Installed, but wont boot

I asked about the SATA drive this afternoon.

 

Now I installed 10.4.4 on the following system:

 

AMD Athlon 64 Venice 3000+

CHAINTECH VNF4/Ultra Socket 939 NVIDIA nForce4 Ultra ATX AMD Motherboard

1GB DDR 400 RAM

ATA IDE 10G HDD.

 

but it wont start. after powered on it stopped at the screen showing the IDEs, PCIs...(the second screen of booting up) with the last line saying "Verifying Pool Data" or something like that.....

it's just like the syndrome when Windows can't boot and stopped before prompting the boot menu.
