viau Posted May 28, 2008 Share Posted May 28, 2008 So yeah I've installed OSX on a separate HDD (a 20gig WD) then when I can see the apple logo, my hdd shuts down and the apple logo stays there nothing happening. What specifically do you mean by "shuts down"? Can you hear the HD disengage like it loses power, or does it just stop reading (i.e. light stops blinking)? Obviously the system doesn't shut down as you note that the system seems to freeze.
