my spec is as follows

asus p5gpl-x motherboard

1gb ddr400 ram

geforce 7600gt

onboard sound

maxtor 200gb sata drive

my cpu is a celeron D 2,8 ghz

yesterday morning i managed to get it installed fine and working but installed updates and it rebooted and just kept on asking me to reboot all the time before getting into the os,.

i have retried multiple times with various options and cannot get it working at all i am using the kaolway intel image for 10,5,2

my main question is what options should i select in the customise part?

im not bothered about drivers being installed straight away as i can do these after i just want the os running

sorry if this is the wrong section.

I look forward to everyones replies and hope its quick as im using a ubuntu live cd to post this and dont want to be left hanging on for ages.

thankyou very much

What sort of updates did you install? Are you using a vanilla version? If not, updates could corrupt the system, resulting in the problem you mentioned. I would reinstall and forego the updates if this is the case.
