Hey all,

I have two SATA drives now, one that is 160Gb and another that is 500Gb (brand new). Anyways, I have a curious set of questions for you all. Here we go.

1.) Is it possible to Ghost my 160Gb HD that has XP on it to the 500Gb one WITHOUT much issue. I would need to also rename that drive to C: after it is ghosted so that Windows has no issue with it and finding files. Possible? Yes...No?

2.) Ok... let's say that I successfully complete question 1. Is it possible now to install Mac OSX onto the old HD and then be able to boot back into XP so I can set up dual booting?

3.) Would it be a lot easier if I just nixed all of this and reformatted both drives and started clean by installing OSX first and then XP both on fresh drives? I would prefer to NOT do this as I have my XP setup running tight and I don't want to have to go through a hassle of finding and reinstalling everything onto the new XP setup, but it isn't out of the question.

Look forward to hearing from you guys. If you could point to possibly any guides that document ANY of this that would be great. Thanks in advance!

IMO, It is more convenient to retain your xp installation on your first drive and then install osx86 on the same drive. You dont have to ghost your xp installation with this procedure.

You will just have to repartition your first hdd (if necessary) to give space for osx installation.

You need at least 6gb of space and that, it should be a primary partiltion. Also make sure that your pc components are capable of running osx86. read from the osx86 wiki.
