thematt
I'm trying to decide between building a small and cheap pc to run mac os (sort of like a macmini) or to just run it on my current rig. Here are my current specs. Intel Core2Quad Q6600 MSI P6N SLI Platinum 4GB (2x2GB-dual channel) DDR2 800 RAM 200GB IDE Hard drive (older drive currently using as storage) 250GB SATA Hard drive (my current boot drive- dual booting vista-64 and XP-32) 2X BFG GeForce 7900 GT's (running in SLI) Generic Dvd burner Here is what i would put into my cheap macmini Abit I-45CV (because it is cheap and has the same built in video as the macmini) Intel Core2Duo E6550 1GB (2x512MB) DDR2 667 RAM 160GB SATA Hard Drive My entire macmini rig would run about $365. What do you think? Would Leopard run on my current rig? Also, any hardware suggestions would be appreciated Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/106169-cheap-macmini-or-use-my-current-rig/ Share on other sites
