saml
OK, this is probably a pretty stupid question. I've got a brand new system, quad core 6600 w/ D975xbx2 intel mobo and I'm trying to install with Kalyway 10.5.1. To install, I formatted a 500gb drive on SATA port 0 (it shows as a removable drive BTW). mac os x extended (journaled), and used a GUID partition table. Custom install, selected both vanilla kernel options, with nvidia drivers, sse2 support and kicked off the install. The installation seems to go fine, all files are copied over, then the installation reboots the PC. After the reboot, I'm given the Leopard login screen. I was never prompted to set up an account, so I have no idea what username/password to use to log in to the system. I've tried root/root, root/admin, admin/root, etc. No luck. The install guides don't mention a login screen, I assumed that after a reboot I would be walked through additional setup screens (acct creation, network config, all the usual apple setup stuff). So is this normal? is there a step I missed? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/105540-initial-usernamepassword-after-install/ Share on other sites
