Maybe my google-fu has failed me, but I can't seem to find anyone else having the same problem I am. I can complete a successful install of Kalyway 10.5.2, and everything appears to run fine. After a few minutes, though, I lose USB. My mouse & keyboard (the only USB devices plugged in) stop responding, and the LED on my mouse goes dark. Unplugging & replugging doesn't help, and new devices plugged in aren't recognized and don't appear to get power. Otherwise the system is up... the screensaver runs, it responds to network requests, etc.

I'm on an Abit FP-IN9 SLI (NForce 650i, I think), core 2 duo, 4G RAM, PATA DVD drives, SATA HDs, Geforce 8800GTS, onboard LAN disabled, Netgear GA311 NIC installed. I've reinstalled Kalyway with most of the kernel possibilities that my machine will boot with, but I get the same behavior with every kernel/patch/driver combination I can try off of the Kalyway DVD.

What next? Why does USB always cut off after a couple of minutes?

I've got an iAtkos install and have the USB problem.

I've only noticed it with my usb card reader though - i've not had any other usb devices plugged in.

I did get usb connectivity back though - it just keeps disconnecting whilst trying to read from a SD card.
