falcox
Howdy, I'm wondering if someone can help.. I've got a 10.4.4 dvd, no previous install and I can't get it work. I had the same problem trying to install 10.4.3, but I couldn't find an answer. Booting from the DVD, it hangs on the Grey Apple Screen. Using -V doesn't give me any useful info.. I'm using an intel Celeron D processor (checked it out, is for sure SSE2, SSE3 enabled) with an intel board. I have a SATA hard disk, and an ATI card.. How do I go about installing? Keep in mind I DON'T have a working 10.4.3 to start with.. Help!! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/10425-installation-woes/ Share on other sites

Damian
If you are using a native install....then dont patch the DVD, just use Transmac to implant the TMP patch and boot that way. since you have SSE3 and most likely NX/XD, you dont need the patches..try to install that way, then add the hardware kexts later. falcox
Thanks, how would I go about doing that? (I'm a mac newb) I'm familiar with linux/windows inner workings so don't spare the technical jargon!
