drabbag Posted May 8, 2008 Share Posted May 8, 2008 I have just downloaded and began trying to install the Kalyway 10.5.2 distro and cant get past the boot screen. It basically keeps looping, allows me to boot from the disc but repeats over and over again ... is there something basic I may be missing? To reword my prob, the computer fires up, starts to load the kernels ect... and seems like it will begin to work, then basically reboots and does it all over. Ive tried the disc on two computers now with the same results. Dell Dimension 8300 Sata HD IDE DVD drive Thanks for reading. medhed Posted August 19, 2008 Share Posted August 19, 2008 I got mine installed with the latest JaS OSx86 10.5.4 Client Server Intel SSE2 SSE3 (http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=120269). I tried 3 different Kalway distros and 2 other distros of 10.5 , no luck. Just endless reboots. I knew the 8300 ran 10.4.x great cause I previously had it installed. No complaints now.
