I tried before post this, searching in the forum.

I have mac os x 10.4.4 restore disk image patched usin dvdpatcher found on thepiratebay. When i boot with the new DVD i get the following text:

This hardware configuration is not supported by darwin (3).

The machine in question is: P4 northwood SS2, asus p4p800-e deluxe with works fine with 10.4.3 dtk.

I even tried the maxxuss patch solution, using ppf for sse2 with the same result.

Any idea?

thanks

Unfortunately, the SSE2 patch missed an SSE3 check in the boot files, which causes the failure you're seeing. You need to copy the /usr/standalone/i386/* files from your 10.4.3 to the DVD patch folder, replacing the existing versions (look for a folder containing boot, chain0, ...).

I have a P4 Northwood SSE2 and ran into exactly the same thing!

Hi,

I have the same error but with an already patched DVD.

I still have the iso.

Where do I have to put those files to make a new bootable DVD without the SSE3 check so that I can boot on mu AMD64 3000+ machine ?

I tried to open the ISO with WinISO but it said that the ISO is multitrack and that it is unsupported.

Thanks.
