am a new Hackintosh user, and I am using Leo4all V3 on a HP Compaq Presario v3020us. I have vendor 14f1 dev5047 and sub 103c30b2.

When I first installed Leo4all the install went well and the only issues that I had were with intel 3945 wireless and Conexant HD Audio. I searched the forums and found that the 3945 wireless is a no go for now. So I went to work researching Conexant. I downloaded Conexant HD Installer and tried that. Initially it did not work. After reading, modifying, and reinstalling, somehow I DID get the volume to work. However I started messing with kexts to get USB wireless adapter working and in the process I ended up messing up my OS and got stuck in a filecheck when booting.

So I reinstalled Leo4all, and then got the wireless USB working right off the bat, but now I cannot get my audio to work. I did find that it is working with my headphone jack, but not my internal speakers. I cannot figure out what worked for me on the first install. I have installed kexts. modified kexts. removed ApppleHDA, tried using ApppleHDApatcher (was unable to boot after that, had to remove applehda kext to get it to boot again). I know that the sound can work, I just dont know how. I am reading every post that I can find, but I cannot figure out how I got it to work.

If you could help me out at all I would GREATLY appreciate it.

Thanks

I have same problem!

I was able to fix the problem with the driver, but in a very WIERD way...

I noticed that all along I was getting sound coming out of the headphones... I tried and tried and tried to get audio working out of the onboard speakers but it was not working. Untill I booted into windows ( I have dual boot with XP and Leopard). In windows I normally run my sound on mute for various reasons, but I had to do something so I UNMUTED while I was in windows. I left it that way and when I booted back into Mac, I had my sound!!!.

I tested this by booting back into windows, and muting my speakers like normal then rebooted back into mac. My sound was again going through the headphones only. Booted back into windows, unmuted, rebooted into Mac and playing through onboard.

This is wierd because I wouldnt think that the state of the audio would be dependent on a windows state, but the sound card may be using some sort of relay switch or something built into the card that is being set....

Anyway you may give this a try. Hope it helps. Let me know

Wow, thanks for that idea! I havnt been able to get sound through speakers or onboard. I thought it might just be a wrong mac driver, but I booted into Vista to see if I could find what audio card I had and happend to be reading this thread on my desktop and noticed that I had audio muted through windows.

I have a quick key on my HP laptop that mutes audio from speakers AND headphones, and it changes from blue to orange when its muted. The whole time I was on Leopard, it was orange. When I pressed the button, the mac would show I was muting/unmuting the audio, but the button stayed orange.

I just installed my audio drivers, and its back on mute for some reason. Apple is showing that I have a HD audio output which is correct, but I still dont get sound. The volume icon on the laptop changes to Orange after leopard loaded indicating its on mute, but is un muted in windows and before leopard loads.

I think the problem may be because I installed some .kexts (using kext helper b7), but I dont remember how to uninstall them.
