Segomo
Hello! I installed kalyway 10.5.2 on my FujitsuSiemens Esprimo V5505, C2D T7300, X3100 gfx. The system is running very well (graphics, sound, network, cardreader) except wireless lan, but that is no problem. Now to the problem: When the machine was turned off for serveral hours it boots up and runs for hours with no problems at all, but when i try to shut down and restart the machine it hangs just before the desktop appears (see picture below). The hang happens short time after switching to the panels resolution of 1280x800. Sometime there is just a blue screen without the black block. There is no HDD activity after the bluescreen appears and the machine is not reachable over network. Edit: I am using the vanilla kernel. The other kernels (mach_kernel, etc.) make no difference. Could it be some kind of thermal problem? The only termerature sensor working is the HDD sensor, which displays about 35°C after a few hours uptime. When I try to restart the warm machine it hangs 95%, in case of cold machine it starts normal 90%. Could it be a heat problem? Any ideas? Thanks in advance! Stanislav Panayotov
I have some problem on my V5505 with iatkos (all latest version). If system load then all work great, but if not then power off / power on... Most times computer is not loading 100% and freezes with "scrached" screen after first blue screen. I need and search solution for problem. I hope for bios patch. There is big bios memory, but not many settings. lxpin
I think the problem caused by your x3100. I have the same, but don't know how to fix it... AwAyKE
Hello! I installed kalyway 10.5.2 on my FujitsuSiemens Esprimo V5505, C2D T7300, X3100 gfx. The system is running very well (graphics, sound, network, cardreader) except wireless lan, but that is no problem. Hi I'm afraid I don't have a solution to your problem but I have a similar laptop to you, a Fujitsu Siemens V5515 and I've been having loads of problems trying to install OSx86. Is there anything in particular that you did to make yours work? please tell me as I've been trying for ages and its getting really frustrating. Thanks. adeser
Hi there ! Been trying to instal an OSX on my new FSC V5505, about 3 days...I tryed iatkos 5i, leo4all v4, and iDeneb 1.3. All of them ended with the bizzare screen. BUT ! I finaly made it !!! iDeneb was the winner. The problem seems to be the kernel. So I selected the first kernel in the custom list of iDeneb, it's called : kernel 9.4.0 StageXNU, and don't select any video drivers (not even x3100 !) It seems to run ok ... I'm testing it... Working: - Video card (x3100) - Bluetooth - Audio (Azalia) - USB - Network (wired) - Battery level Not Working: - Wireless (damn !) - Sleep function (double damn !) I'd like to make this little cheap machine to work... I'll post any progress.
