lordpuma
Greetings All! I know this is probably the number one question on this forum, but I can't seem to find a concrete answer. Is it possible to install OSx86 on my Dell Dimension 2400? The various hardware compatibility lists suggest that it should work, but I've tried Leo4All and Kalyway, and both of them just reboot halfway through the first "loading" page. Okay, quick history here. I've had this computer for a few years, and it still works fine, but I'm looking to move to Mac. I've played around with Leopard, and am deeply impressed. Problem is, it will be a bit before I can afford that Macbook Pro of my dreams, so I thought I'd install OSx86 in the meantime. There seem to be a lot of versions of it out there, and I thought I was trying the most "compatible" versions, but it still no workie. I'm losing faith that my chipset supports the magic of Steve Jobs. Anywho, the specifics are as follows: Processor - Intel Celeron 2.4 GHz (SSE2) Memory - 1GB PC2700 DDR SDRAM System Chipset - Intel845GV Video Card - Radeon 9200 Pro 256MB Let me know if you need more information than that, or if you know of anyone who has successfully installed Leopard to any similar Dell. Thank you! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/102361-is-leopard-possible-on-a-dell-dimension-2400/ Share on other sites
