hi there,

im new here, so please bear with me. i have been searching the net for a good 4 hours to find a solution to my question.

i have a legitimate DVD of OSX Leopard, and want to install it onto a PC (in this case a Dell Dimension E520, or Optiplex 330). i have heard of a patch, but dont really get what to do, or how to obtain the patch itself.

im a primarily Windows user, but not over the moon with windows. and i have good experience with Linux, mostly dabbling in Ubuntu, Fedora and RHEL 3 4 & 5.

can someone please explain step by step what to do, or provide me with links to get me there?

very very much appreciated!!!

As far as I know the only automated patches available at the moment are designed to run on OSX. So unless you already have access to a running copy of OSX they aren't a viable solution.

It would be cool if some one would make one of these patchers run on linux. There is a project called iDEBOX that sound promising.

You are never going to get the system to boot from your "legitimate OS X Leopard"(it takes some patching and then you end up with a Kalyway, Iatkos or Leo4All anyway) so, just download one of the distro's install and feel better because you own a retail version of the OS!

If your original "legitimate OS X Leopard" was for a Mac you have, then loading it on a hack is illegal, if you bought it specifically for loading on a hack, IT'S STILL ILLEGAL! :P:hysterical:

If you search Google for "patch retail DVD for hack macos" the first link should explain how to.......
