Kalyway 10.5.2 Install issues

I have an issue with my Kalyway 10.5.2 install, current hardware is as follows

-Pentium 4 C core - 3GHZ

-Asrock Mobo (i775 iirc)

-2gb DDR2

-ATI x800 pro

 

The issue I have is after the install when I select it from the boot menu, it displays a whiteish background with the apple logo and the small circle underneath with the bars filling up indicating the os is loading, it sits here for ~30 seconds and then everything on the screen goes black, the pc hangs and my monitor goes to sleep

 

I have also tried safe mode with the same effect, any ideas people?
