Minn3h
Trying to install from a Leopard DVD throws a really obscure error like "installer could not validate the contents of the <random> package." The only working solutions ive found for the error are to use a different dvd drive, something I don't have, or install from a partition. The problem is I'm not sure what the correct way is to do this. I tried dd'ing the downloaded .iso to a partition and chainloading it from GRUB, but that didn't work and I'm not too surprised. What's the correct way to install from a partition? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/100393-installing-from-a-partition/ Share on other sites
Minn3h
Since I don't have OSX installed right now is there another way to boot this partition without using time machine? I'll see if I can use diskutil on the dvd itself to make the copy based on STLVNUB's suggestion.
