opeeum Posted January 31, 2008 Share Posted January 31, 2008 I need help with setting up Comcast's cable modem which is connect to my iatkos laptop through usb modem The modem is recognized in System Profiler in the USB tab when connected through usb, I just couldn't configure it since there wasn't much of an option.... I did search the forum, and couldn't get too useful results (http://www.comcast.net/help/faq/index.jsp?...cookieattempt=1 contains drivers for the cable box, but none are mac.. ) thanks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
opeeum Posted January 31, 2008 Author Share Posted January 31, 2008 In "Networks" i do see the device is on "connected" status, and there is this self-assignd IP address for ipv4, but I couldn't get an actual IP address that would allow me to connect to internet, even when i clicked the "get new DHCP address" button.
