stu_lowe2003
Hi Following various pieces of advice on this forum I have Final Cut Pro 5 running amazingly on my intel. Having played around with imovie on this machine i wasnt expecting anything much. But I was very wrong. Final cut is really fast. I thought to give it a test run I would edit up a 20 minute video I was working on through it instead of using premiere on my windows machine. It has happily managed to work with multiple dv files and multiple angles, no problems noted at all. Livetype has made for some impressive titling and the final render took just 30 minutes. It's just a shame the finished file then has to go back to windows to be encoded as wmv for distribution. The only downside I see is the firewire problem. For me its ok as I can just capture through windows and then transfer it to the intel mac through my network. Final cut is so much nicer to use than premiere as well. I shall definately be moving my future dv projects over to this machine. Stu
