OK here goes multiple long stories shortened for ease of eyes....

Hates:

M$: take a number of several guesses why

APPLE: Is it so hard to add a second HDD to a notebook like every other company? Or to have options for real power users in your hardeware selection at all? And why the AMD hatred?!?

Situation:

Job- Laid Off

Training- None

Lifestyle- hardcore/punker and street urchin

Life- going fairly well considering

Ability to learn quickly- Fab ****ing-taculous

Going to go to scool for CSIS degree- yeah might as well as I build and maintain all my friends DT\'s now might as well get paid

So, knowing as many systems as possible would be useful, unfortunatly only really versed in Microsux. I\'m looking for a good Lappy/Notebook (see, its a school thing) and want to be able to multiboot several OS\'s (namely OS X, Vista(possibly XP too as new versions of windows tend to :censored2: me off really good for about 9 mos min.), Linux {possibly 2 versions for a good learning curve was debating FC, Ubuntu, SLED10 and becoming at least semi capable in both KDE and Gnome}

Issues: besides mental ones:

1.Checked out MBP\'s but APPLE seems to not like my idea (or any other PC manufacturers for that matter) of having a second HDD in a Port-a-system as having the space for OS partitions as well as a FAT32 Part for inter Linux/MS Storage would be useful.

2.Want to make sure the rig is \"Vista Premium\" worthy (although I have doubts that ANYTHING M$ can be considered premium anylonger)

3. Worried that the OSX86 option may detract from studies if I have to fiddle with it every update

4. Fear that I expect far too much from Notebook Computers

5. Like both the Core 2 Duo (performance decision) and the AMD Turd-ion{aweful name sorry lol} x2\'s (low cost) so would swing either way

6. Heard ATI isn\'t so Linux friendly

7. Heard Apple isn\'t so Nvidia friendly

8. Heard scratching in my skull as my brain tried to escape the connundrum

NEEDED:

1. Sugestions on weather for my situation I should go MPB, or a PC alternative.

2. To know if a second HDD is an option Apple can provide

3. Please hold my hand and tell me that the X86 opt. isn\'t the big burly guy accross the street looking me adoringly, like I think it is

4. Suggestions on My Hardware & Linux Distro choices AND/OR a referance to a good mental ward

5. GFX card choice help on which would be easier to accomidate in the multi-boot theory of doom.

Thanks, M.
