ronsharikahn
I am having trouble enabling my GTX-950 running on a Z170M-D3H with i7 6700K either using El Capitan or Sierra. Each time I try booting, I end up with a blank screen (but otherwise functional rig that can be controlled from afar). No problem starting the rig with the Nvidia disabled. Would anyone have this rig configuration, who could send me a copy of their EFI folder (obviously with confidential stuff X'd out)? ron Ron's EFI and IOregistry.zip

ronsharikahn
replace full folder, dont change nothing CLOVER.zip install web driver http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/312525-nvidia-web-driver-updates-for-macos-sierra-update-07212017/ reboot Unfortunately, still no luck. I'm certain that it was copied into the right place, since I had the new clover theme. Once again, the boot progressed until the screen went blank and the "Windforce" lights went out and the "silent" lights went on the GTX-950 of the hackintosh. When I accessed the hackintosh with a shared screen from my other mac, the rig was functional and properly recognizing GPU. I'm noticing that the initial screen resolution of the rig is a bit off during the boot-up process (800x600?) compared to the resolution I am seeing when plugged into the VGA of the integrated graphics of the motherboard. Is it possible that there is another kext that needs to be installed to properly recognize the GPU/display?
ronsharikahn
I have windows 10 pro on the rig as well. When I tried the GPU with that setup, I also ran into the blank screen issue, but only once the nvidia graphics drivers were loaded. I switched out the card for a gtx-1050, and got the same result. No luck with another PCie slot on the motherboard. could it be something in the motherboard bios settings (the initial PCie slot is correct).
