Dell Vostro 3550(HM-67)intel i5-2450mIntel hd 3000 4gb RAMresolution 1366x768I am in dire need of a hackintosh for XCode purposes. How do i get Yosemite working on my laptop. akshajb Posted July 23, 2017 Author Share Posted July 23, 2017 21posts and 5years on the forum with similar queries for 2 other laptops in recent months; I take it you're aware of the basics & the essentials and know how to create a USB installer by now... Regarding this new Vostro 3550 of yours, it's going to be of similar specs as the McBookPro8,1. So that's what you need to target as SMBIOS profile. For HD3000, you'll be looking at injecting laptop SNB layout-id 0x00010000 either through DSDT patching of through Clover if graphics don't work OOB. It's a SandyBridge platform so you'll need the AICPUPM patch to avoid CPUPM-related KP. You can either use a pre-patched kext (copies for Yosemite available here for instance) or use Clover's Asus AICPUPM option. For the rest, well you'll have to identify the specs of your audio, LAN, wireless, SD card reader, touchpad, etc. You can refer to Dell's support web site and/or Windows Device Manager to that effect. thank you so much for the info, but my previous 2 laptops were a breeze. i tried clover (legacy) to make usb installer, but in wain. need more info regarding that process Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
