devfs_kernal_mount: failed to find directory

Hello,

First off, this website is a wonderful resource. I can't begin to express my thanks to those that have spent the time trailblazing to make X86 easier for others.

My problem is that i tried to install the SSE2 patch that enables SSE3, Rosetta, and PowerPC apps.

The install failed because some of the files were denied permission.

However, some of them were successful and screwed up the boot sequence.

Now when i start up, it locks up during the load sequence (circular load animation). the verbose shows this error:

devfs_kernel_mount: failed to find directory `/dev`, 2Load of /sbin/launchd, errno 2, trying /sbin/mach_init

Load of /sbin/launchd failed, errno 2

Does anyone know how to fix the problem, or know how to restore the img file to its original state?
