Smallersen
Hi Forum, I do a lot of developing photos with Lightroom on my i7 5960x processor. There is a speed problem beginning with Lightroom 6.2 until 6.5 (released yesterday). Since Lightroom 6.2 developing does not seem to use multiple cores. Its easy to even with the most recent updates installed to still use the old 6.1 Lightroom app, just copied it back from a former backup. Developing images is double (!) as fast in 6.1 than in 6.5 on my system. I already had several times erased all Adobe stuff from my system and did fresh installs, no change. Enable or disable GPU do not make a difference. 6.1 and 6.5 use the same prefs. I tried to figure out what the problem could be. System report (within LR settings) of the two versions is almost identical. Both recognize 16 processors. There is only 1 difference: 6.1: Camera Raw uses max. 8 threads (which seems to be faster.) 6.5: Camera Raw uses max. 16 threads, Question to the specialists: at which point does the system (clover, kexts) pass information about number of cores or hyperthreading to a app? Is there a way to take influence on that? Perhaps it is a incompatibly issue in newer Lightroom versions / Camera Raw versions newer than 9.1 Is there somebody who has similar experience on his system? Thanks in advance

Smallersen
Hi magnifico, do you have the same issue on your hackintosh with Lightroom? For example: Developing 12x 24MP images to JPG: LR 6.1: 31 sec, it develops always 4 images at once, as the progress bar indicates LR 6.5: 64 sec, it develops images one by one As I develop sometimes 1.000 picture in few hours this is really a obstacle. Smallersen
Again, do you have the same problem? As it could be hackintosh related it is nothing to report to Adobe.
