tonso
Hi there, I have an Elitebook 8540w running Snow Leopard. Now I'm trying to upgrade to Yosemite with the intention of finally going up to Capitan. I'm using a USB with chameleon 2456 (couldn't use a more recent version because it wouldn't install under Snow Leopard). When I try to boot from usb - using boot flags -v -x kext-dev-mode=1 - the machine starts booting, reading files, displaying lots and lots of pages of messages until it suddenly restarts going back into bios. When I boot without any flags I almost immediately get the yosemite apple logo before the machine restarts back into bios.Any ideas what could be the problem or what to try next? Here are some specs:HP Elitebook 8540wBios: 68CVD Ver.
